Selva Muthalagappan

Executive Director

Always thinking out of the box, buzzing with plans on developing the business and reaching new heights. 

A lawyer by profession, Selva also has a wealth of expertise in creating and running hotels and restaurants. Filled with vision and purpose, Selva is the ultimate optimist and loves to engage with people and learn something new everyday.

Selva is a keen horse rider and has lots of fun and adventure with his three children and family. Enjoys playing badminton and out cycling in the countryside. Together with Simba, his golden lab, he enjoys exploring the outdoors. An avid traveller and frequent skier, Selva pushes boundaries in everything.

Rajesh Nair

General Manager

Hailing from Kerala (affectionately known as Gods own country), Rajesh is just as proud of his heritage as his achievements at Colwick Hall for the last 15 years. As General Manager, Rajesh is committed to driving productivity and a great spirit amongst the team.

He enjoys living in Wollaton with his wife, Archana, and family. A proper cricket fan, Rajesh does find himself compelled to attend the big matches and his knowledge and trivia of all things cricket is near on exemplary.

Not one to rest on his laurels, Rajesh always goes that extra mile for his customers and strongly benchmarks his performance on client feedback.

Naomi Tupoulahi

Sales & Marketing Director

Passion, creativity and energy is what Naomi strives for in her role. Creating experiences alongside the team to ensure the best possible relationships with clients and customers is what it is all about. Everyday something new is learnt and no two days are ever the same. With a background of Events Management, Naomi has always been passionate about the industry and has loved working on developing the future vision for Colwick Hall. 

When she has time to spare, Naomi has an avid interest for cooking, and likes to go on long walks/ runs back home in the Lincolnshire countryside. Spending time with family and friends is her happy place.

Birgit Watson

Wedding Coordinator

Originally from Denmark, Birgit now calls Nottinghamshire home and has dedicated over 10 years service to Colwick Hall. As our wedding coordinator, Birgit has had a hand in almost every happy couple’s day with us.

Dedicated Mother and Grandmother, Birgit’s main pastime is spending every Sunday doting on her five grandchildren.

Birgit has a wonderful nature and her exacting standards make for a perfect rapport in organising a wedding, event or charity ball, whilst being able to draw on her years of experience.

Jason Littlewood

Head Chef

Jason is a visionary never standing still, constantly innovating and never complacent. Jason is a rare breed of chef at the top of his game, a master perfectionist, and a true gentleman. Cooking is his obsession and he is extrememly passionate about constantly innovating and moving forward with food.

When he manages to tear himself away from cooking and cookery programs, Jason is a football fanatic. He spends his Saturdays socialising with friends over football and a few drinks. He enjoys getting out and trying different foods, long walks with his dog, and spoiling his wife!

Paul Roopesh

Senior Chef

Paul has a huge spectrum of experience as a chef including five star luxury hotels, industrial and commercial catering and cruise ships. Originally from India, Paul started off in mechanical engineering and is crazy into motorbike building.

Proud husband and Father of two, Paul’s fascination in building his own bikes has led him to become the proud owner of his own Royal Enfield, customised as a Harley Davidson ‘Fatboy’. One day, the real thing…..

Ryan Magnus

Afternoon Tea Chef

Hailing from Johannesburg, South Africa, Ryan joined us in 2017 as our Breakfast Chef but has become increasingly involved in the food for many of our functions and events. In particular Ryan now puts together our Afternoon Teas on a daily basis.

After 2 years in the UK, Nottingham is now his base and Ryan enjoys time time at home with his wife and catching Formula 1 whenever he can.

Lauren Vickers

Byron’s Brasserie Supervisor

Growing up, Lauren always dreamed of being a rock star or a fashion designer. Not believing she had the legs for skinny jeans, she studied fashion at The University of Huddersfield. To help fund her student lifestyle, Lauren worked in the village pub and caught the bug. She fell in love with the industry and after much encouragement from family, decided to ‘run away with the circus’ – aka hospitality – and has never looked back!

Having a ‘live to eat’ outlook, Lauren spends her (occasional) free time finding quirky restaurants and country pubs to dine out and get a little merry with friends – it’s homework after all!

Sam Walker

Front Of House Manager

With over 12 years of being at Colwick Hall, from housekeeping supervisor to reception manager, Sam is always on hand to assist and chat with guests. Sam is a kind and considerate manager and a mother hen to all of our younger staff.

Anyone who knows Sam knows her two favourite things are movies and coffee!

Pramod Rathore

Bars Manager

A 13 year veteran of Colwick Hall, Pramod runs all of bars for all of our various events.

A lifelong career in hotels, Nottingham resident Pramod has two children; a son of 5 and a son of 10 and……one on the way!!

No time for hobbies, between family and work Pramod is non stop and is definitely looking forward to his next holiday.

Binoy Augustine

Food & Beverage Manager

Highly meticulous and a man with great attention to detail, Binoy has been running events and all things food & beverage at Colwick Hall since 2005.

A real family man, with three children aged between 1 and 12, Binoy loves an evening of competitive bowling. Very caring and affectionate, he looks after every function, be it a wedding, conference or party as his very own!

Always willing to listen, adapt and nurture, Binoy runs his ship with perfecting standards together with his top team.

Amy Randall

Byron’s Brasserie

Amy is a vibrant member of the team at Colwick Hall. She enjoys her work as she ‘loves’ the building, the atmosphere and the teamwork among her colleagues.

Originally from the Black Country and a degree educated artist – Amy is a keen illustrator, a professional dancer and music lover that gets to as many gigs as possible.

Amy loves to learn and is currently studying Hospitality & Management.

Hari Sooran

Banqueting Supervisor

Very personable, and a great coordinator for meetings and functions. Father of 3, Hari is a genuinely wonderful human being.

Outside of work, he is a big movie fan and is often glued to the dance floor when his favourite hits are playing.

Molly Cooper

Reception Supervisor

Molly has been with us for 2 years and enjoys working with people so her role on reception is the perfect fit.

As a dog lover Molly’s time away from worked his filled by time with her black Labrador, Lola. When Molly and Lola are not out walking, Molly enjoys a little retail therapy.

Beata Prusak


Originally from Poland, Beata has been looking after Colwick Hall for over 10 years. She takes great pride in her work and has an eye for detail.

Mum of two lovely daughters, aged 11 and 12 years old, Beata is a very busy family lady that’s looking forward to her next holiday!

Steve Pole

Head Gardener

The superb landscaping at Colwick Hall is the responsibility of Steve, and what a fantastic job he does. Steve has looked after our gardens for an incredible 14 years and will admit to a huge sense of job satisfaction.

A Nottingham Forest fan that still remembers the glory days , a former golfer and a father of a civil engineer. Steve enjoys regular trips to Thailand with his wife.

Ray Wilks


A key part of the maintenance team, Ray has been keeping us functioning for over 2 years.

From Cotgrave, Ray always has plenty to do and loves working at Colwick Hall – particularly in the summer. Father of 2 daughters and passionate motorcyclist, Ray enjoys free time riding his 125 Cruiser.
