A special treat for Mum on Sunday 31st March 2019

This Mothers Day we have some extra special treats lined up at Colwick Hall. Our Mothers Day Lunch menu features a variety of spectacular favourites from Chanterais melon, to fillet of baked cod, to the Lamb Navarin for main course.

For something a little bit different, we have our latest themed afternoon tea on offer. Following the spectacular new Mary Poppins film, we have been so inspired that our chefs and front of house team present to you their latest creation, the Spoonful of Sugar afternoon tea. Running since New Years Day, this experience has been much sought after, highlights include the infamous ‘Penguin Soup’. In addition the menu comprising scones, sandwiches, savouries and sweets, is also completed with a flight of taster drinks to complement each course, all delivered in medicine bottles too!

Lunch is served from 12noon to 3pm, and afternoon tea from 3-6pm in our delightful Grand Ballroom and Byron’s Brasserie. It’s a popular date, so we recommend to reserve your table soon.

Confit of Duck and pistachio terrine with sweet and sour pickled cherries and walnut bread

Grilled goats cheese salad with a beetroot relish

Chanterais melon served with a soft fruit compote and a lemon sorbet

Main Course

Roast rump of Beef with Yorkshire Pudding

 Lamb Navarin served with Champ mash

Twice cooked pork belly with an onion and apple veloute

 Baked fillet of cod with a garlic and herb crumble

All the above are served with seasonal vegetables

roasted potatoes & creamed potatoes with a rich gravy

 Mediterranean vegetable strudel served on a fresh tomato coulis with wild rocket, herb roast potatoes and tender stem broccoli


Lemon tart with vanilla clotted cream

Rhubarb and custard pie with butter crumble with vanilla ice cream

Chocolate and ginger torte
