Things to do whilst visiting Nottingham for ‘Silly Old Bear’ afternoon tea
Everyone loves an excuse for a great day out – especially during the summer holidays – so we’ve spent some time planning the perfect fun-filled day for family and friends!
It starts of course with our latest themed afternoon tea. For those of you who haven’t seen this yet, it is our ‘Silly Old Bear’ menu, inspired by none other than the loveable chubby little yellow bear that is everyones favourite!!! From food to drink to experience, we have it all ready and waiting.

But why just stop at afternoon tea!? We get many visitors coming from further than Nottingham, and it’s even been heard of that people have flown in from abroad to experience one of our Byron’s Brasserie’s finest teas! Therefore we want to point you in the direction of a whole bunch of relatable experiences that are going to get you in good books for sure!
1. The new Christopher Robin film
We have teamed up with Broadway cinema so that you can book your tickets to see the new Christopher Robin film released on Friday 17th August. Imagine anticipating the delicious sweet and savoury themed selection whilst watching the movie, or perhaps even getting geared up for the film by beginning with the tea.

2. A trip to the local bee farm
Goldendrops Bee Farm is the perfect addition for the explorers amongst us. Just a short trip down the road, master beekeeper Mariusz Chudy awaits, ready to share his passion and knowledge with you all. What’s more, Goldendrops is the actual farm we sourced all the honey for the ‘Silly Old Bear’ menu – so you can even come away with your own honey treats! No appointment is needed, as the farm hosts visits in August on the last Saturday and Sunday of the month every hour from 11am to 5pm!

3. The ‘Oh Bear!’ package
The fun doesn’t have to end! You can continue with a relaxed overnight stay in one of our luxurious suites at Colwick Hall. This package includes your afternoon tea for 2 people, followed by an overnight stay to include breakfast in the morning. Of course we can tailor make stays dependent on groups sizes too, so just get in touch for more details!
