Finding that special setting with green space showcasing nature and infinite beauty is often the first priority. This coupled with availability and capacity for the desired guest numbers produces a shortlist. At Colwick Hall, the Lakeside Pavilion marquee can accommodate 500 guests and is an all year round facility with a commercial kitchen for your chosen caterer to use, and has a stage, dancefloor, spectacular views, decking by the lake, a large bar if required, toilets and the ability for the space to be partitioned.
Arrival and line up especially with the groom’s arrival has to be showstopping. With a turning circle, sweeping driveway, fountain, and Grade II* listed Georgian mansion as backdrop, Colwick Hall ticks this box rather swiftly.

A host of additions really make the day and whilst there is much choice on offer the key is as bride and groom and close family to narrate their special day and include features that really describe their story. Just last weekend saw a fabulous marriage between two people very much in love in the presence of 350 of their closes family and friends and a very touching moment was when Lissie the artist sat on a stool at the back of the ceremony, paint brush in hand facing an easel, and produced the most fascinating painted canvas of the couple.
