Nottingham Awards Dinner 2024
Setting the precedence of the year with The Presidents Dinner.
Happy New Year!
We started of our January 2024 by hosting the 125th Annual Presidents Dinner for the Nottingham Insurance Institute and a great night it was.
It was our pleasure to host the special event. On the night we welcomed the VIP Guests through the hall into our Decolwyck & John Carr Suite for arrival drinks and networking, meanwhile the Lakeside Pavilion started the party. With taking all 16 hotel bedrooms some guests had just a short walk down the stone staircase relaxed and ready. The fairy lights twinkled off the sparkles on the dresses and the black tie event looked great with the décor.
After some speeches and a delicious 3 course meal from our Winter Event Menu followed applause for awards, laughter from the stand up comedian and dancing for the band up on the stage.
The team were pleased to hear the positive feedback not just from the guests the next morning after breakfast but from the organiser: “Thank you for organising the night, it was perfect, everything ran so smoothly and the food was amazing!”
We understand the pressure of putting together a work event and have everything in place to ensure it’s a great night. With listening ears we got into the details of the brief to create bespoke solutions. On the clients search for the right venue, a key aspect of the brief was to include a separate VIP drinks lounge for some guests to enjoy welcome drinks and to take wine orders from their clients attending to be collected on arrival. In order to make this work we had clear signage to direct VIP’s into a separate room and private bar within the Hall before joining the others. Resulting from a combination of different companies attending who all wished to pre-order drinks packages we created a set wine bar for them to collect and pay for the packages easily, taking the hassle off the organiser.
Along with packages https://colwickhallhotel.com/events/and flexibility to meet budget, the grand setting of Colwick Hall along with the large capacity of up to 500 guests. The Lakeside Pavilion also played host to School of Business Awards and Veterinary Association Dinner this month. We look forward to continuing the year with Annual Awards Dinners, Charity Balls, Corporate Events and many more.
With February nearing we look forward to celebrating love with our couples for Valentines Day. Being part of so many love stories is a huge reward and dining in our Byron’s Brasserie along with Lord Byron’s Romantic poem ballads seem a fitting venue. https://colwickhallhotel.com/valentines-day/In spirit of the month of love we are hosting a client’s private Valentines Dinner for the first time in our Grand Ballroom and excited to see this take place.
